Our new track ’Running Through The Fields’ is about looking back at your life as a child but also letting go of your inner child with the transition to adulthood. It’s about the ongoing perseverance through life and maintaining an inner strength and hope while working hard with determination. The track uses driving acoustic guitar and mandolin for an up-tempo groove with similarities to R.E.M. and a hint of The Lumineers. Playful with unique dynamics and interesting vocal lines, including capturing harmonies at the end.

Designed by 16-year-old digital artist ‘Conny’, the cover art is vibrant and colourful to convey hope while the running father and child (or inner child of the father) are anonymous in black but determined in their stride.

Recorded at Fireswamp studios in The Blue Mountains, ‘Running Through The Fields’ was produced, mixed and mastered by engineer Josh Schuberth, co-produced by Benjamin Knight. ‘Forever Entwined’ is an upbeat indie folk/pop song brimming with celebration for life and love with sweet, harmonious vocals. Our cross genre and eclectic style is present in the track and draws upon alternative folk/rock/pop and a variety of instrumentation, including acoustic guitar, synth, organ, drums, and percussion. The understated solo guitar in the bridge is broken by an explosive chorus of hopeful vocals, inspired by fireworks, symbolising the collision of love. ‘Forever Entwined’ takes influences from numerous genres and eras, possessing the eclectic, unique yet familiar sound that has become a hallmark for our sound.

Our new single ‘Fate’ is out now. ‘Fate’ is about a new relationship in the beginning. Something special is forming between two people, but one must depart on a trip. The song is about the journey of excitement, anticipation, and contemplation of a romantic future, as well as the anxiety and desperation of waiting for someone special to return. Then, realising that when they do come back, that they have a special connection and can start their journey together.

The official video clip for ‘Fate’ that can be viewed on our YouTube channel was created using AI manipulation of both video footage and still imagery, along with AI generated art, scenery and silhouette scenes. Designed in the US by Tapiocasaurus; a musician and artist who has experience making animated music videos using AI Art programs such as Stable Diffusion, in a variety of different styles and methods. The clip was a chance to experiment with AI technology and produce a video that enhanced the storytelling with stunning visual effects. We wanted to bring to life the scenes of both butterflies and nature but also the ocean waves, which is the centrepiece of the song, in a compelling and memorable way.

Our new single ‘Fate’ is due for release on October 20th. ‘Fate’ was recorded, mixed and mastered at Fireswamp Studios by engineer Josh Schuberth (Josh Pyke, Amber Lawrence, The Wolfe Brothers, Fanny Lumsden), in The Blue Mountains. A heartfelt track, ‘Fate’ combines indie folk and folktronica with progressive pop/rock sounds, tribal percussion, and Middle Eastern influences. Our eclectic style is present in the track, which draws upon alternative folk/rock/pop, world music and percussive elements, with the use of instruments including the djembe and 12-string guitar. ‘Fate’ was produced by Josh Schuberth and Benjamin Knight.

This then leads into a passionate interlude of dramatically poised and purposeful rock pop songs in ‘Shine on You’ and ‘I Don’t Miss You’, before coming full circle into positivity with the enchanting track, ‘Bloom’, with its rhythmic percussive elements embraced by elegant piano and lofty honest vocals. Last year we headed out to a secret studio location near the Warrumbungle National Park, about a 6 hour drive west of Sydney. We recorded an EP on-site at MusicPro Farmstay studios, near the Warrumbungles, surrounded by nature and farmland. We wanted to capture a more organic sound inspired by nature. The first single from the EP ‘Bloom’ is about people moving away from the city to rural areas after the Covid-19 lockdown seeking a change of pace and reflection.
